Chocolate Dream Overnight Oats

Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup rolled old-fashioned oats
  • 1/3 cup chocolate milk of choice (regular, almond, hazelnut etc.)
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • 1 tsp protein seed mix (1/3 tsp hemp seeds, 1/3 tsp flax meal, 1/3 tsp chia seeds) See *note below.
  • 1/4 banana, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp sliced almonds
  • drizzle of honey or sweetener of choice

Instructions
 

  • To assemble, pick a mason jar or an air-tight container. Add rolled oats, chocolate milk, Greek yogurt, and protein seed mix. Close the mason jar and shake it up. Refrigerate overnight or at least 6 hours, give it the necessary time to soak in the liquid. The next morning, place sliced almonds, sliced bananas, and drizzle with honey or your choice of sweetener.
  • The next morning, top with sliced almonds, sliced bananas, and drizzle with honey or your choice of sweetener.
  • These overnight oats can be warmed up in the microwave for 30-45 seconds and eaten warm, if that is your preference.
  • To prepare this chocolate dream overnight oats recipe for the week, multiply this recipe by 4 for 4 servings. These oats will stay fresh in your refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Notes

*Note:
This protein seed mix here in this recipe requires equal parts: 1/3 tsp hemp seeds, 1/3 tsp flax meal, and 1/3 tsp chia seeds.
You may also make a jar of this protein seed mix and store it in your refrigerator for up to 3-4 months. Sprinkle it on/into salads, pancake batter, place into sandwiches, avocado toast, and anything you can think of! Look at link below to make it.
