Ingredients
  • 7-8 apples (choose an assortment of different kinds), quartered
  • 2 oranges, quartered
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon whole allspice
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • filtered water
  • ½ cup brown sugar
Instructions
  1. Place the apples, oranges, cinnamon sticks, whole allspice, and whole cloves into the Crock-Pot®.

  2. Pour filtered water just until it’s about 1 inch from the rim of the ceramic bowl. Place the lid on. Set the temperature to LOW and time to 6 hours. Press START to cook.

  3. At the 5 hour mark, use a potato masher or a wooden spoon to mash the apples and oranges to release the juices. Place the lid back on and cook for one more hour.

  4. Strain the apple cider through a fine mesh strainer or cheese cloth.

  5. Stir in brown sugar until dissolved.

  6. Pour, sip, and enjoy!
