Berry And Kale Fruit Smoothie

Spring is officially here, the sun is out, and we are starting to blend fruit smoothies again. In the summer time, we make them almost everyday! They’re healthy and super delicious! We toss whatever kind of fruit and greens we have on hand. Spinach, kale, bananas, oranges, apples, berries, pineapple, mango, and the list goes on!

To blend my smoothies, I use a NutriBullet, but any blender will work.

A few other things you can toss in are:
  • Greek yogurt – calcium and probiotic
  • orange juice – flavor
  • apple juice – flavor
  • milk – creaminess
  • protein powder – protein
  • beet root powder – antioxidant and fiber
  • Plant-Based Protein Seed Mix – protein

To blend the fruit and kale smoothly, you will need a liquid and a decent amount too. I typically use water but any sort of juice or milk can be used here to up the flavor, sweetness, and creaminess. Throw all the ingredients in a blender and process until it’s smooth. If the smoothie is too thick in consistency, add more water, juice, or milk. Add more fruit to thicken it, if necessary.

Enjoy this smoothie for breakfast, after a workout, or even on a summer evening outdoor walk.
