How to Make Three-Cheese Italian Sausage Stuffed Shells
Boil the pasta shells according to the directions on the package.
Next, make the filling. Brown the Italian sausage in a skillet. Break it apart as it cooks. Drain the oil from the sausage in a colander. Combine the sausage, mozzarella, parmesan, ricotta, salt and pepper. Squeeze out the water from the thawed spinach in a paper towel. Add to the filling bowl and mix everything together.
Assemble the jumbo shells. Spread half of the marinara sauce onto the bottom of a large baking dish.
Using a spoon, generously fill the shells with the sausage/cheese mixture and assemble into the baking dish. Spoon the remaining marinara sauce over the shells and sprinkle a little more mozzarella on top. Bake for 20 minutes, until cheese is melted.
