How To Roast Garlic

Ingredients
  • 5 heads of garlic
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. Cut 1/2 inch from the top portion of the garlic head (the opposite side from the root end). This will expose the garlic cloves.

  3. Line a small, oven-safe baking dish or pan with a large piece of foil. Make sure you have extra foil on the sides, this will be used to cover the garlic.

  4. Arrange the heads of garlic in the baking dish with the exposed garlic cloves facing up.

  5. Drizzle olive oil on the garlic and sprinkle with salt. Use the extra foil on the sides of the baking dish to cover the garlic, this will prevent the garlic from burning.

  6. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool before handling. Squeeze the garlic cloves to remove them from their skin, they should come out easily.
