One skillet meals have kind of been a thing lately. Everything is cooked in one pan and there’s less to clean up after. Making this dinner something that I come back to over and over again. Protein and veggies (the side) are all there and this is great for one of those low-carb kind of meals if you’re looking for that.
Ingredients You’ll Need To Make The Steak Bites:
1. Steak
For the steak bites, using a tender cut such as sirloin, ribeye, or New York strip is best. These cuts hold up well when diced and seared in hot butter, giving you that juicy, melt-in-your-mouth bite.
2. Butter
Unsalted butter is key. It lets you control the salt level of the dish. Use high-quality butter for the best flavor.
3. Garlic
Garlic is the highlight in the butter sauce! Using fresh garlic cloves adds a more intense flavor then using the jarred stuff.
4. Green Beans
Fresh green beans are ideal for this recipe as they cook quickly and retain their vibrant color.
5. Seasonings
A simple mix of salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes adds the perfect balance of flavors. Leave out the red pepper flakes if you want to skip the heat. Fresh parsley is added for an aromatic touch.

To Make The Steak Bites:
Heat your skillet so it’s super sizzling hot. Add the oil to the skillet and cook the seasoned steak pieces.
Next, cook the green beans. Melt the butter in the same skillet, add garlic, green beans, parsley, salt, pepper and a little bit of water. Cover with a lid and let them steam for 5-6 minutes. Remove the lid and cook for 1 -2 more minute so the water evaporates.
Remove the green beans and add the steak back to the skillet. Toss the steak bites in the garlic butter until they are coated well. Return the green beans alongside the steak. Spoon the garlic butter over the steak and green beans. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
Garnish with additional parsley and serve.

Garlic Butter Steak Bites With Green Beans
Ingredients
- 2 pounds sirloin steak (new york strip or ribeye will work too), cut into 1-inch cubes
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 3 tablespoons avocado oil (or another high-heat oil)
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 8 cloves garlic, minced
- 12 ounces fresh green beans, ends trimmed
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, plus more for garnish
- salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Season the steak with salt, pepper, and red chili flakes.
- Heat a large skillet over medium/high heat, making sure it's sizzling hot before adding the oil.
- Add avocado oil to the skillet along with the steak. Make sure the steak is not touching or overlapping. This will help achieve perfect browning on the steak pieces. You may need to do this in two separate batches. Cook each side for 1 minute and transfer to a plate.
- Clean the skillet out before cooking the green beans.
- Reduce heat to medium and melt butter in the same skillet.
- Add the garlic, green beans, parsley, salt, pepper, and 2 tablespoons of water. Cover with a lid and steam for 5-6 minutes. Remove the lid. Stir the green beans and cook until water is completely evaporated. Transfer to a plate, leaving behind the garlic.
- Add the steak and the juices back to the skillet. Toss the steak to coat in the garlic butter. Push the steak to the side of the skillet. Return the green beans alongside the steak.
- Spoon the garlic butter over. Season with additional salt and pepper, if needed. Garnish with additional parsley and serve.
