Mixed Green Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette

This mixed green salad with balsamic vinaigrette is a quick, light, and easy side dish! In just 10 minutes you have a healthy add-on to any meal. Whether thats chicken, fish, pork, or steak. It can also be customized to your likings. Toss in kalamata olives, roasted beets, sliced bell peppers, or sliced onions for some inspiration.

Not to mention, the balsamic vinaigrette is made completely from scratch and with ingredients you probably already have stored in your pantry.

Mixed Green Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette

Ingredients

  • 10 oz bag of spring salad mix
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup crumbled Feta
  • 1/4 cup almonds sliced and toasted
  • 1 avocado sliced

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Gradually whisk in 4 tbsp olive oil until the dressing is well combined.
  • Place mixed greens in a medium bowl and sprinkle Feta, almonds, and avocado. Drizzle salad with desired amount of dressing. Toss together and serve with main dish.
