Ingredient Notes:

To create this flavorsome blend of sweet and spiced perfection, you’ll need a few key ingredients. Gather your favorite types of waffle square cereal, pretzels, nuts (such as cashews, pecans and/or almonds), brown sugar, melted butter, pumpkin pie spice (homemade or store bought), vanilla extract, and just a pinch or two of salt. Recipe FAQs:

Q: Can I freeze the Pumpkin Spice Crock-Pot™ Snack Mix?

A: I would not recommend freezing this snack mix, if any moister gets in the bag it will turn the snack mix into a sad soggy mess.

Q: Can I substitute any of the ingredients?

A: Absolutely! Feel free to experiment with different waffle style cereal variations (think peanut butter or chocolate), swap the nuts with other favorites, or even add in some M&Ms for additional sweetness.

Q: Can I bake the snack mix instead of using a Crock-Pot™?

A: The Crock-pot™ 8-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker is ideal to use for a number of reason. It uses less power than it does for a full running oven. Cleanup is a snap thanks to the removable, dishwasher-safe lid and stoneware pot vs. washing sheet pans by hand if baking. But it can be done. Mix the waffle square cereal, pretzels, and nuts in a bowl, pour the spiced butter on top and toss to coast. Spread out on a large parchment-lined sheet pans(you may need to use two if they are small). Bake at 275F for about 45 minutes. Toss the snack mix every 15 minutes or so, so they cook evenly.
